Our Workforce

Nestled between two of New York’s most picturesque lakes, and dotted with parks, museums and quaint small towns, Seneca County is an ideal vacation and relocation destination. Located in the heart of the world-renowned Finger Lakes Region, Seneca County is home to the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge and the Finger Lakes National Forest, ensuring nature lovers easy access to boating, fishing, hunting, biking, camping, nature watching, cross-country skiing and other outdoor activities.

Due to its ideal geography and near-perfect growing conditions, vintners have flocked to Seneca County. Our hillsides are lined with acres of vineyards growing the grapes that have made the world-class Finger Lakes wines so famous. More than two dozen wineries are located in Seneca County, and dozens more are just a short drive away. And thanks to its central location, major cities—including New York, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo and Toronto—and Northeast tourist attractions, such as Niagara Falls, the Adirondack Mountains and Cooperstown, are all easy day trips. However, you don’t have to leave Seneca County to see the sites! In addition to outstanding recreational opportunities, Seneca County is also rich in history. As the Birthplace of Memorial Day and the site of the first Women's Rights Convention, Waterloo and Seneca Falls have long been gathering places for advocacy of human rights. The Women's Rights National Historical Park, National Women's Hall of Fame, National Memorial Day Museum and other museums and historical societies celebrate our county’s role in shaping America.

Perhaps even more than its attractions and natural beauty, visitors and transplants alike love the genuinely friendly spirit of hospitality that is truly part of Seneca County’s heritage. We look forward to welcoming you and your business to our home.
